Of course, with a control board with various types of protection, the device cannot be recorded in purebred mechanical mods, so the company itself writes in the presentation that this is still something like a “semi-mechanical mod”. In fact, this is a classic varivolt, with which the history of vaping began. And it developed quite well, until Chinese manufacturers themselves came up with a real power race, which gave us such unforgettable monstrous examples of mod making as the RX300, MAXO QUAD and other portable fog generators for clubs and discos. However, even releasing the varivolt, the Dovpo company does not forget to mention that the device is capable of squeezing up to 280 watts out of two 18650 cans, and despite the presence of various protections in the electronics, the manufacturer calls for being extremely careful and not to force the batteries. M VV 2, with all the desire, cannot be called compact, despite the seemingly simple electronics, the device is quite comparable with many dual-battery mods with screens and serious boards. But what cannot be taken away from it is its fairly convenient shape and nice exterior – it looks much more attractive than the boring boxes with polymer resin panels.

I have no complaints or claims about the Dovpo M VV II itself, excellent build quality and manufacturing, ease of control and the associated reliability (I want to believe) do not raise questions, especially if the goal is not to brag about the number of Watts on the screen (“Look what I can do!”). The button works instantly, but as in almost all boards, after the first press, the protection is measured and turned off, and only then the current is supplied to the winding. In this case, it is about half a second, but with the second press there is no delay. Support for high-current charging will be useful to many, although the best option is always to use a special charger for batteries. This device cannot be called a mechanical mod, even with a bunch of reservations, it is a simple and very nice varivolt, this format has its own small circle of connoisseurs and devoted fans. If you consider yourself one of them or are simply tired of the abundance of useless functions that the board suddenly switches to, you can safely take this device, no glitches were noticed during a week of use. The only inconvenient thing is the indicator of the remaining battery charge, which can only display three approximate states. Although it is less informative, it certainly looks better than the four diodes in the first version of M VV.
If you do not need temperature control, crazy graphs of the supplied power and other bells and whistles, then this beauty can be a good choice.
