In this review, I will tell you about a mechanical mod called VIKING from Serisvape and the Arkham Distribution design studio.
It was as if Serisvape designers and engineers read my thoughts and literally a week later announced a new mechanical mod, naturally, with the same constant contact. Its name is VIKING, its body is copper, its soul is 18650.
VIKING MOD is sold in a case made of real wood with brass fittings and an emblem on the lid. The presentation is very impressive, but after opening it is slightly disappointing – there is practically no empty space inside, this is not a small chest, but a case only for a mechanical mod and nothing more.
The box contained: a branded microfiber cloth, a couple of cards and the mod itself. I will dwell separately on the transport packaging: the top layer is a plastic mesh, and under it is an equally plastic bag, into which the mod was put. vape store canada The package is not just there, the air was pumped out of it, thereby creating a vacuum, which did not allow the copper mod to oxidize during transportation and lose its attractive appearance. The second card contains rules and recommendations for the safe use of evaporators and batteries. The appearance of the VIKING MOD is strict and menacing, a straight copper cylinder with a diameter of 24 millimeters. The anatomical recess at the bottom is almost unnoticeable, and the emblem with Scandinavian battle axes and a historically accurate Viking helmet echoes the Celtic ornament on the ring holding the button.
The Swedish company Arkham Distribution was responsible for the design of the mod, so there is no “spreading cranberry” with horned helmets and two-handed axes, they knew what they were doing.
The 510 connector is hybrid, in a small depression that prevents excessive heat transfer from the evaporator to the mod and at the same time reduces the chance of the dripper sticking, the names of the companies that released the VIKING MOD are located – Serisvape, as a manufacturer, and Arkham, as a design studio. Just below, on the side surface, the engineers placed two holes with a diameter of 2 millimeters to remove gases that occur when the battery is damaged.
At the bottom of the mod, on the button, there is another logo with four crossed swords and a serial number, and on the ring holding the button, in addition to the Celtic ornament, there was a place for a runic inscription, which I could neither decipher nor read.
At the top of the inner part of the mod, there is a rim that acts as a “foolproof” protection, i.e. preventing the positive contact of the battery from short-circuiting to the case at the moment when the evaporator is not screwed on, and the button is already pressed. The high quality of execution is also clearly visible, the copper inside is clean, without burrs and traces of rough processing.

VIKING MOD is a rare mech made of copper these days. It has a simple and strict design, a comfortable ergonomic shape (however, only for the “lower grip”, those with long fingers and those who like to hold the device “by the throat” will not appreciate this). The mech is very productive, fries as it should, unpretentious in maintenance of the buttons, constant contact and silver-plated contact group work without complaints. For a week of use with a winding of 0.05 Ohm, the contact group retained virgin purity, the “before” photos were no different from the “after” photos, so I did not even add them. And externally it is simply good, nothing more to add. I specifically did not focus on the surface issue, owners of mods without painting are well aware of the problems of constantly maintaining the appearance in perfect condition, and for everyone else there are four coloring options.
